Our history
Laurence and I founded MandarinMaster in October 2023. I developed this learning method in Taiwan in 1986, in an artisanal way, when I took my first steps in Mandarin Chinese.
The amazing results I achieved at the time allowed me to make this language an important asset in my professional career. Those obtained more recently by Laurence impressed the Chinese.
After more than fifteen years of working with Chinese people and five years of expatriation in Shanghai, I can say that mastering this language has made the difference in my personal and professional career.
Our philosophy
The MandarinMaster project is consistent with our personal philosophy. A project dynamic brings life and momentum: we believe in the benefits of unlimited ambition in a “yes-we-can” spirit.
Self-discipline and a sense of effort in a demanding and flexible environment lead to success and pride. This is what we want our learners to experience.
From ambitious young people to curious retirees, MandarinMaster is a method open to all, with no prerequisites. While everyone has their own pace of assimilation, it is only by progressing step by step that we can go very far.
Our vision
The growing dominance of China in the development of trade and in the evolution of international relationships makes official Mandarin Chinese an almost indispensable language.
Mastering this language is one of the ways that promote the reconciliation of Western and Eastern cultures, the first being Cartesian, logical and rational, the second being more strategic and relational.
For managers and future managers, openness to the Chinese language is a very good way to complement the rigor of operational requirements through relational flexibility.
Our values
By offering the MandarinMaster method, we believe that we are making a useful contribution to quality education, economic growth, the enrichment of learners, the development and maintenance of our dissertations and, most important to us today, to the improvement of international relationships.
We believe that combining play and discipline in pedagogy is an excellent way to acquire and maintain useful knowledge. We also believe that on a demanding journey such as learning Chinese, personalized support and continuous encouragement for learners are essential to lead them to success.

Our team
In addition to the two managers that we are Laurence and I, we have built a multicultural teaching team composed of French Chinese speakers and native Chinese.
We are involved in the adventure of our learners from their individual welcome at the time of their subscription to monitoring the maintenance of their linguistic heritage after their exams.
We also have partners at our side such as Galadrim, Chartres Métropole, the incubator La Fabrique du Terraire and the BPI, who have supported us since the beginning of our adventure.
